Jay is an accomplished pianist with a focus on jazz. In addition to performing solo piano, he has led small jazz bands, accompanied solo singers, produced two albums, organized several house concerts, and played in the pit for several musical theater performances and a swing choir.
Common venues include restaurants & bars, weddings, Argosy Cruises, hotels, retirement centers, cafes, and performing arts centers. He has been the house pianist at Restaurante Pomodoro and Old Town Theater.
He is only in Seattle periodically, having recently relocated to the other Washington, now a piano teacher and Washington DC pianist. He also continues to compose and produce sheet music.
Jay performs frequently with his wife, singer Tessa Frost. In addition to being a jazz duo, they regularly compose inspirational solos for church, the sheet music for which they are proud to have available on inspirational music destination Watchfire Music.
