Tessa Frost

Singer Tessa FrostTessa has been singing since she was knee-high to a grasshopper.

In addition to folk, she has forayed into musical theater, opera, and jazz. She’s performed in Idaho, Massachusetts, Washington State, Illinois, Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and in La Musa Cafe in Peru. Singing and songwriting are avenues for spiritual growth and learning love, and she welcomes both the joy and the challenge of each new composition. Her voice is pure and angelic – listen for a moment and you may be able to pick out some of her influences: Ella Fitzgerald, Blossom Dearie, Whitney Houston, Melody Gardot, The Wailin’ Jennys, and Joni Mitchell.

Having recently moved to the Nation’s Capitol, Tessa is only available to perform periodically in Seattle … but she can’t wait to move back to the Great Northwest!

Now married to her favorite accompanist – Washington DC Pianist Jay Frost – the Frost duo performs together regularly for church services and jazz venues, in addition to composing and producing inspirational solos.
